About Me
I’m a trail runner and spend a good deal of time running and walking in the hills and valleys of the Ribble Valley, Lake District and Yorkshire. I have completed many long distance walks including Hadrian’s Wall, Offa’s Dyke and the Cumbria Way and in 2019 I ran the Yorkshire Dales Way over 3 days. My own relationship with the natural world translates into a therapeutic rationale for working outdoors.
Over the last few years, I have developed a passion for endurance activities, long distance walking and running – and it is this idea of the long distance process and the effects on the body and mind that I am particularly interested in. I have experienced physical repetitive movement and can attest to how this can activate a deeper consciousness leading to a more intuitive, creative way of thinking.
I love being anywhere high, in the hills and mountains. I feel like I am a tiny part of something much larger than myself and this allows me to see things from a new perspective. I have a spiritual pull to be in the mountains and love visiting the national parks of America including Yosemite, the Grand Tetons, the Flat Irons, Yellowstone and The Rockies.
I love everything about being outdoors, adventure, nature; it really sparks my creative side and gives me focus. My work allows me to bring together everything I love; the outdoors, adventure and creativity. I have experienced the mind altering benefits of the outdoors and this has inspired me to share and provide opportunities for others to maximise nature’s mental health benefits by combining movement and nature with the therapeutic relationship.
I am a co-founder of the Women’s Vision Collective a Facebook and Instagram group set up to empower and encourage women to connect with themselves, others and nature.
